North Central Iowa | Yes, an ez guide 500 with an ez steer is a good system. Quite powerful for its time. Compared to modern systems, sure, seems pretty lacking. But for driving a straight line, works good. Add an ez boom and can run planter clutches and a sprayer.
Should be able to get ez steer for around $2,000. The ez guide 500 for $1,000 if only WAAS with ag-15 antenna. Maybe $2,000 if rtk unlocked and with the ag-25 or z+ antenna . Both might even be less today. Both should come with the needed corresponding cables.
Trimble has it made harder to find the documentation, but some dealers have it on their website if you google for them. You want to find the user manual and the “cabling guide”. Last I checked, you could find all the documentation through the Trimble app. | |
