South Central Iowa | Kinda the same scenario if I want to buy prescription meds from valley vet. Need my local vet to call them and confirm order. Basically calling a buddy and asking him if I can take his wife on a date. Pay the $12 and go on. Use your local clinic as much as possible. The online retailer won't help you at 2 am in an emergency. Or, like yesterday, Sunday afternoon of a holiday weekend, I helped a buddy catch and haul a fall calver with a dead set of twins into the clinic to get them pulled out. After that smell, and the chipper demeanor of our local vet, I'm solidified in my opinion that even if it costs a LITTLE more, it's worth it to support local.
