I've gotten Rx for dogs through 1-800 petmeds. They contact the vet and if all goes well it's filled.
I've done this for years and never had an issue nor been charged extra for it. I don't see how it's any different than the vet sending vaccine info to a groomer or kennel which they do all the time.
