Mid Michigan | I was in London England that day at the start of a Glo Bus tour of Europe ending in Paris. I had been in London in 1980 when I helped start a silicone process in Wales.
All quiet, I had a coupon for fish and chips room service, and the girl was crying when she brought it to my room. We talked a bit.
Early next morning we had a bus tour of London. The male local quide was crying. The streets were near empty. We went by her home and just about 20 feet of flowers next to the fence, Later the street was closed and probably one of the world's greatest display of flowers.
About a week later we were in Paris. The buss took us to the back door of her hotel she had came out of and drove the same route her car did. The 2-lane underpass where the wreck occurred had a concrete center about a foot high and 4 foot wide. Square concrete columns held the road above up. 4x4 feet then next about 2x2 feet.
There was no steel guard rail like is so common here in Michigan. If there would have been a guard rail her car would have bounced off it.
The lack of a guard rail has never been talked about in any news media. | |
