Carter Montana | You'll have to pull the codes on the dash to find the issue. You'll probably need a dealer to get you straightened out initially. Since the truck is new to you, I would go through these steps as preventative maintenance.
Remove and Clean the Venturi Pipe.
Remove and Clean the Crossover Pipe.
Remove and CLean the Delta P Sensor.
Remove and Replace the IMAP/CAC Sensor.
Remove and Replace the Doser Pen.
Remove and Bake your DPF once a year.
We did this on a 15 when we got it several years ago and haven't had much trouble with the truck. We did lose the DEF pump, but it wasn't too bad to get fixed.
