So, we've begun placing hybrids based not just on soils, etc, but on the ability to aerial apply fungicides the most accurately. 

The small odd shaped stuff, 80 acres in 5 patches shaped like I don't know what, are going to get the more disease defensive hybrids, because aircraft simply don't get the corners and pockets. 

The nice square 80 of reasonably good dirt may get the one that we know will need to be fungicided. 



Drones solve this problem IMO if you can get the operator back to them and as long as you aren’t just giving the drone operator the crap fields and someone else the gravy. I had 2 small fields I couldn’t get a drone operator back to without running over corn. I called the local coop and basically said run whatever is in the helicopter whenever you can on those 2 fields.

We had some silage chopped off of a farm and once the outsides came off it was plain as day the drone did a good job of coverage on the plants that many worry about.
