I’ve never used an electric pump for priming, always different style of diaphram pump usually a lever style. If your foot valve is good you will have water in no time of pumping. Our manure pto pump does have a hydraulic driven primer pump and the diesel irrigation units with the exhaust Venturi primer setup are pretty slick too but neither of those will work in your application
