PrecisionAg75 - 8/29/2025 16:47 My issue is lies less in that. I would totally not need to export the boundaries if JD had a reliable and useful editing system, but they don't. If we don't use ArcGIS, then we end up with overlapping fields and edges that don't butt up. There are no snapping tools, parallel or other tools. We still drive our boundaries, but like them to align well, and have nice corners. This is not something Deere offers, which is why it is something I looked into. If they added some features then I would gladly edit using their site, but until they do it is of no use to even try and use their shape file editor.

My point is you editing makes it no longer autonomous ready. Even if JD had the snap tools, parallel tools, or pretty much anything else those are all moving the line after someone already drove it where they wanted it.

That means the boundary line moving is now putting all autonomous operations at risk of pulling down power lines, driving into a pond, or whatever other risk you want to fill in the blank with. They're not going to allow edited boundaries to be autonomy ready. Way way way too much risk added to an already risky venture.

Yes your edit might only move the line of 2 parallel 40's that share a border by inches or feet. But they don't care, it's not the driven boundary anymore
