Like Gravity.. Comparative Advantage can not be ignored.  We must compete.. or be left behind.  In order to compete we must do what we do well.

Tariff taxes are a form of government manipulation so.. not sure where you're headed here.. will it work?

If they were more targeted and less debilitating.. we should promote growth and cooperation instead of giving our neighbor/allies the economic middle finger.

What is gained by wanting exports... but shunning imports which our neighbor/allies can do better?

Do we want markets?  Or not???
