After I learned about the metabolism of viral reproduction, I saw no need for flu shots. Changed my diet to fit what I learned. Literally haven't had so much as a sniffle in over two years now. Used to get sick multiple times every winter.

Can you elaborate on your diet?

I eat what is in season locally that sets well with me. For 9 months of the year, that is pretty much animal products and nothing else. For the other 3 months that is animal products and raspberries. "Regional Paleo" is the moniker have I given my eating style.

The way I understand it, and don't quote me on this because I'm just a dirt farmer, is that for a virus to highjack a cell in our body and replicate itself, the cell has to be getting energy via anaerobic glycolysis. Burning glucose in a low oxygen environment.

If our cells are burning ketones, the virus will still infect the cell and eventually kill it, but the virus can't highjack the cell and make it produce more viruses.

Quite a few research papers out there on the subject.

Lot's of conflicting opinions out there on what to eat and what not to eat. But when you start looking at metabolism on a cellular level for viruses, bacteria, cancer, etc, the research is pretty consistent.

Take that research and figure out how to apply it to yourself and you'll likely be better off for it.
