Durant EC Iowa | To go along with the OP and threshing my father told a story of how they played a trick on a boy one day. When he came over with his father to play they were chasing each other and my father and another boy ran around this hog mud hole which was all covered with chaft and straw from threshing. Of course the other boy taking a short cut ran straight into the mud hole and ended up all covered with mud. His father got really upset at him. Of course these are the things kids did for entertainment back then. No TV or iPads.
