Get it fixed!
Gotta get our port prices lower than what they can buy beans for out of Brazil. Seems like a fools errand to try to compete with their land/ labor/equipment/ seed /etc. cost
Unless something happens to gut our land prices, equipment costs, lifestyle expenses and all, I really don’t think we will ever be able to compete with their cost structures. We will be Chinas source of last choice( that’s nothing new, been that way for decades), and we will make plenty of sales to other importing countries. More domestic demand would also help, but too many don’t want to deal with hooves and feathers…. |
