I used to get them every year. I was diabetic and they were recomended especially because of that. But 5 or 6 years ago I quit getting them. Since I changed what I eat I no longer test as a diabetic and I just don't seem to get sick with a cold every year like I used to. So just do not see the need for it.
I was every winter out for at least one week and often two different times during the winter with some cold or flu. That just doesn't happen any more. Not sure if it is my low carb diet or maybe taking supplemental vitamins (like vit D+K2) or maybe just overall better health after losing a hundred pounds of fat. But something or some things have made me much more healthy in respect to getting winter colds and viruses.
