| That’s a good point. $8000ac vs $1500ac. Also that farm ground is a way to utalize your manure. In my case our pastures might produce about 800lbs of grass on an average year. Where you could plant dryland hay and make 1-1.5 tons of hay per acre. (millet, forage wheat, oat hay,). And potentially graze the stubble. Or raise a wheat crop in there for extra cash if your rotation allows it. It’s a win win all around but requires alittle work
