West Central IL | My 2 cents. If worth that. But I don't actuality care for tap tees. You need to get bedding under the tap and then haunches it good to keep its shape and keep it from getting out of shape. You can tell guys same thing day in and day out and some still won't put the energy in to try and do it right. So taps we do we just rock them and is easier to set in a good base and side wall protection. And you can do some tile stuff in questionable ways and take forever to show up or maybe never show a problem. Pic of tile shoved in showed no issues probably just looked up tike from where I was working and saw it.
Plus putting in a 6" reducing tee is not much work so for a tiny bit more effort I feel like it's worth it but can see why others tap tee everything and if they do it right nothing wrong with it.
