| I’v kind of been forced to think the opposite. But I understand your line of thinking. Here in Ne Colorado there is a lot of competition for hay. With all these Feedlots needing grinder hay and then cow calf guys needing hay for winter. There’s a lot of stuff that gets trucked in from Nebraska and Kansas. I’d rather grow my own so I know what I’ve got and it’s right here where I need it. Being self-sufficient is a very handy tool!!! And besides it’s the economics of it to. Iv got about maybe 20$/ton in my millet hay, and to buy it is 150$/ton before trucking. Cost of production is a no brainer. My situation is probably unique to most | |
