southern MN | I’ve never run a chopper, I was 5 or 6 when dad filled the silo for the last time. And we only chopped corn so I’m way out of my class.
However, I see the head in question does have an auger and auger teeth, and they would be part of the hand off from the pickup teeth to the header. If the auger and the pins are rounded they might not grab the windrow allowing the fluff to fall back down in front of the header?
I don’t know, but it may be part of the big picture?
