The intermediate towers constant move, but slow down and speed up to stay in line, and will stop if end tower stops. There should be a small wheel switch at the center point that does the same job as an overwatering timer, and shuts down the system if the wheel doesn't sense rotation and trigger the switch within a certain time period.
