I'm helping a neighbor this summer with an older T&L pivot.  The end tower got stuck sometime yesterday and made a mess but the pivot never shut off.  I'm accustomed to Reinke and Valley machines that have an overwatering timer in the second to last tower but I was under the impression that T&L were constant move machines so the second to last tower should have kept moving and put the system in safety bypass.  Do I not understand how these work?  I pulled it out of the hole it dug itself this evening and everything seems to be in working order.
