Central Wi | Have a 5088. Bubble up auger was getting thin so took it to local welding shop to roll a liner for it. Little thicker than I pictured. Just a guess Id say it added 30 to 40 pounds to the tube. About halfway through season the top started to close kinda rough. It opened smoothly. It came apart shortly after. Ended up manually folding it to get done. Auger cable off and down then lids etc. My question is do I just buy a new actuator or do you think the extra weigh of the bubble up auger is what caused it to fail? The actuator is about $1000. Not sure if I should pony up the $2000 for a new tube as well.
