Yeah I'd be leery of runnin bolts straight into that gearbox too, especially aluminum don’t take much to crack one when it gets cold or catches a rock wrong. Old style mounting off the tube spreads the shock better, I'd stick with that unless they show proof it won’t cause trouble.
