 northeastern Ohio | I have a series 2 on my Gleaner S96. It was a big upgrade over the Gleaner 3000 that it replaced.
There are stops on the deck plates that can be adjusted if you are in difficult conditions. You can use these stops to set max and min openings. You can run it like a fixed position head if you want, but after the first season I have not messed with the settings.
The only downside is cleaning the deck plates. If you get rained out, you need to blow them out, especially in freezing weather. | |
