No, but a regular blade is dull almost instantly when cutting net wrap. Hook knives will stay sharp enough to cut well 10X longer. And if a person has to cut net off a rubber roll, the hook blade would be much safer for the roll. Not that I know this for sure, I don't run that color baler.
I don't know much about other colors, but on a Deere the LAST thing you want to do it "rough up" the rubber net wrap roll. Personally, I keep knives away from that roll if at all possible. Knick that roll up, and you'll hate your life running a Deere net wrap baler. |
