That is what I am looking at.
Without looking, July corn is over .50 more than September.
I had some September basis contracts that I was waiting for the spread to get better. It did, but we were on vacation and I missed it.
I was thinking bags for the corn I don't have bin room for, but by the time I rent a bagger, figure it out and empty the bags, I just as well eat the .50.
I think bagger rent would be around 8 cents a bushel, bag would be 5.5 to 8 cents a bushel and bag unloader rent another 8 cents. So worst case 24 cents a bushel.
Anticipate a lot of bags around here this year. Bagger can take the grain as fast as our grain cart can unload. Trucking bottleneck hopefully gets solved with bags. |
