| At my preferred feedmill, which pays as well as the local ethanol plant. It's about 15 cents for 90 days, and about 4.5 cents per month after that. Or at least it was last year. This mill does not have high-speed dumps, but has a reasonable unload speed.
If I go to one of the elevators with high-speed dump pits and almost zero wait time, it's just by the day storage, and all are in the 4.5-5 cents per month range. Their basis is not as good, though.
Funny thing about storage, as I was working on the cost of a new bin today. Based on my average annual historical storage cost, it will take me around ten years to pay off moving used bins and twenty years to pay off a new bin. Now if I didn't have an end user with storage, that would roughly cut those pay-offs in half because of basis improvement over local elevators.
