Because anyone who isn't it full fledged MAGA is the enemy to him. It doesn't matter if your a traditional conservative who would never vote for a democrat or not.
Why would Trump take the farmer's side over big oil? Big oil has more money and farmers in mass will vote for Trump (or his designated successor) even if he outlawed producing corn in the US. Look at the large pile of SREs he granted his last day in office the first go around.
Where are our checkoff dollars? That is some big money. Hopefully we didn't spend it on crayons and overseas junkets instead of lobbying for more ethanol.
