| I’m going to do it but thought some might be interested.
I rent a smaller piece from a retired professor, the cash rent has fluctuated each year due to some formula he evidently uses. The rent has been reasonable, maybe slightly higher than average on some 100% tillable ground.
I was offered a five year deal at a fixed rate $25/acre lower than this year’s rent.
The guy isn’t easy to work with but nothing serious, just has his own opinions and thinks the world is wrong. His health isn’t great and maybe he wants to take the management of this little asset off his plate. He has several other non farm assets.
Or maybe he knows something.
