What's a mirage is crypto, which entitles you to ownership of electrons, surging to sky high levels - all the while you can buy a contract of wheat, which entitles you to an ingredient food that you could feed a village with by just adding yeast and water. One provides life and one is just electrons... the world values one of these things immensely and takes the other for granted.
The stock market has been traded like crypto lately. No basis in the reality of the numbers such as assets and earnings, just a snapshot of how people are feeling that day. How else do companies ever get to a P/E over 1,400 like Tesla did?
