FSA acreage was used in the Aug report. If there was an issue regarding FSA acreage and the Aug planted acres regarding corn, its that actual corn planted acreage is higher yet. I don't know if I would go that far but the low end of planted acres is set in this last report.

It had certified planted corn acres at 96.5 million and beans at 79.7 million. There will be some additional small areas added in subsequent USDA (Edit: should have said FSA acreage) reports and FSA is always a tick low due to non participating farm program growers.
