Every year is different, for sure. The pause this year is disease and/or dry in prime areas more than too wet in more fringe areas of the belt. Probably the biggest problem with us farmers is we look at yield, because that’s easy and we all understand it, than total production and/or demand. We see that every day on this site as well, and not saying I’m any better for a more wholistic view.

Probably why so many on here are all for tariffs, but don’t talk about 1/3 of the soybean export market shutting us out and thinking that’s fine. The last time around they said “we will just sell it elsewhere” as demand and markets tanked. Econ 101.
