I am well aware of the traditional sale barn situation selling anything but blacks. That is why I originally got licensed to sell my Hereford beef direct by the pound. Blacks do generally sell in larger groups than Herefords which has been another factor in the sale barn price difference. Selling a small group always takes a price hit vs a large group. However that is changing. BWF or a good uniform group of Herefords will now bring a good price around here. However the trend toward putting an Angus bull on Holstein cows and trying to pass calves off as CAB is diluting that price difference. With Herefords you know they are a beef animal. Highlanders are a mystery to me also. My only reason for replying here is that I don't like to see anyone here called a liar. Tends to discourage open discussion.
