I don't believe any of that for a second. Find a low BW Angus bull and get calves that have value. If your barn doesn't reward that (still don't believe what you're saying is the case) send them to a barn that will. The cattle market is too good now to be farting around with raising JUNK feeder calves. If you had some "wild" painted ones that brought the same money as a solid black calf....the solid black had 3 legs and you're not telling us. You can tell us anything you want, but we might know better....even if you don't
