Indeed, but the aquifer is no longer able to overcome a lack of rainfall in these dry years. Thank goodness we had relatively mild temps except for the string of 105s at pollination. Still ended up with a lot of tip back. Hopefully prices rebound to offset yields.
I remember 40 some years ago a guy at Pro Farmer really pushed buying ground around Dalhart. Wonder how many Midwest guys bit and how it turned out? |
