Nothing to report on replacements as such, but close family member discovered the hard way that titanium screws and plates in an ankle/leg repair contained nickel and had a horrible time. Suffered thru it till the joint was sufficiently healed, then made the surgeon remove the hardware. Hasn't had much issue since.
