McLean county IL | So this week I've been driving on route 51 south to Decatur from Bloomington area. We are setting up equipment display for next week's Farm Progress Show. Early Tuesday morning, as I was about ten miles north of Decatur/ Forsthye, near Maroa I noticed they'd gotten rain overnight. A good amount of rain as in overnight thunderstorm. I also noticed some field corn and seed corn signs pushed over from wind.
Anyway, on the south edge of Maroa is the Casey's General Store on east side of rte 51 Next to it is the township maint shed. I see the roof is gone. Behind Casey's to the east is a field with solar panels. I'm guessing it's for the village as it's right next to town. It looks like a war zone from the winds early Tuesday morning. Employee at the Casey's filled me in . Said they lost a front window . Also, she said she didn't think the panels were even live yet What a big mess!
