One big thing from Pro Farmer and some other agronomists was the disease pressure they saw. Biggest worry seemed to be Iowa. We have tar spot above the ear and are probably 2-3 weeks from black layer. Now cooler weather ahead so more disease and slower to black layer. Guessing 60 percent of acres sprayed as a whole around here. Untreated field could be real ugly soon according to some who are scouting. Saw a couple planes this week not sure if they are doing 1st pass, 2nd pass or a pass for rootworm beetles. Spray twice, start early harvest and dry it is hard to do with the prices we’ve had this summer. Could be an interesting next couple months yet til it’s in the bin!

field drying diseased corn will likely be the most expensive drying option there is
