Central SD
Just so you understand where Sodak lives in Brookings County is about 200 miles east of us. We are running a little behind on GDU’s all year. Is it a big deal? No not if the frost holds off. Yes it’s a big deal if it doesn’t. Like White Shadow said some run a little long on the RM on their corn because we are farmers. I don’t have any corn that’s way behind except 25 acres of replant that the pheasants took out. A Sept 15th frost would hurt corn big time here. FWIW our avg first frost is about Sept 20th.
