The uncommon items that prevented me from off the lot
Diesel crew cab with long bed with transfer case with auto and 4 lo
I did not want white or silver (both colors blend in too much when driving in certain conditions. Comments by those who may not agree please let’s not discuss)
I also did not want the higher trim versions. I am not a fan of all the electrical gizmos. They work great when they work but as they age they become problematic
Old dealership could generally get their hands on one or they kept one on the lot. This dealership seems to cater to the less rural using buyers.
Everyone has their owns tastes and needs and everyone is correct for themselves
Just like farming. Seventh generation neighbor was complaining to me he needs a super yield this year with the prices he is seeing. Says his equipment costs per acre and rent per acre are eating his profit. Has a full line of really new nice equipment purchased in the last 5-7 years. All the gizmos and toys. VERY IMPRESSIVE
5th generation on that farm (I am biased here) pulled an 8 row Deere 7000 with a diesel 730 and combined with a 8820.
7th is 24 row and s770. Same acres
7th gets done much faster. Gives him more time to drink coffee and pass judgement on those who are not as timely
Seen this before in the 80s. Equity is a precious thing. Those who built it understand that those who are given it don’t seem to
Sorry for the long post Tom
Not to go squirrel here but why has 6th and 7th generation not added acres. |
