| To those that thought I was too long in my explanation sorry I wanted to paint the picture of what happened
To those that think I want to screw my dealer I did mention in the end it is not a great deal of money and I chalk this up to an education
The issue I was asking is that to me the site is build and buy. Go in spec your vehicle and here is your price. Rebates etc will be determined at delivery. That I can deal with
Then truck comes in and it is a 26. Again no big deal but there is price increases for base truck, destination and a few options. I can understand that too
But when I am told you have to take this or forfeit the deposit seems like a bait and switch
If I want a truck I will have to pay the higher prices no matter where I go
As for resale value on trucks. All my vehicles have the same value of what they weigh when I am done
Not a big farmer here but I have 3 pickups. One nice one (this one in question). One parts runner, trailer toter and general utility truck in working clothes and one wood hauling, sit at end of field when working farms, beater but better than walking truck. All start out as nice one and get moved down as they age and are used Present beater is close to 400k and my frame is rusted thru at the spring shackle. So need to replace
Was just asking for experience on this deals to see if I was seeing things as others experienced
As for me being hard to deal with. We can say that about everyone. I didn’t think I was bashing anything or anyone. Never thought I was pontificating I was being screwed
I have pre bought lots of items and sometimes what I order could not be delivered but seller always seemed to acknowledge the difference and at least discuss the problem. Most years I don’t get all the varieties of corn I order in the container I order. Been a couple of times I was given bags over bulk. Paid bulk price. Was given a higher value number when the lower value number was not available paid the lower price
I recognize business happens
In this situation seems presently no talks are being offered a this is what I have even though it is not exactly what you and the papers shows. Take it at this price or go elsewhere
If this is how you now order vehicles then I have my education

For those here who maybe have different views of how to farm/operate etc thank you for your input as well. We just don’t look at things the same
