Malta, Illinois | I can't say for sure what happened but this may be on GM and not entirely the dealer. I had a similar thing happen a couple of years ago. After the order is submitted GM has to "pick it up". That is sometimes a while after placing the order. If the order gets picked up close to switching years there is a very good chance it will be the newer of the two years. The last deal I did was that I ordered the truck and had to put $500 down. They gave me a vague idea of what the trade price would be but they would not give a firm price and said that incentives available at the time the truck came in would apply. They also said if I didn't want the truck they would give me my $500 back. It worked out okay. I liked the truck and the incentives were actually a little better by the time the truck came in. I was happy with the deal but didn't really care for the way it was done. I think it is pretty common to be done that way now. | |
