East central Iowa

Always higher when I want to fill up.

I wonder how many here ever saw gas wars.  I filled my new car with 10¢ a gallon gas in 1964.

Now I fill at COSTCO about 19 miles from a town where the gas is often 40 to 50 cents a gallon higher.  I've often felt that because all the local stations have identical prices that the proprietors meet at the local restaurant and agree on a price.
