Cherokee iowa | The four week turn here. Shine up the combine! Got letter in the mail. Got till aug 31st to price beans or .06 a month till march .045 after till aug. So basically beans going on DP after the 31st. Got overnight bid in for the last 20000 bushels at $10. Need $.04 to trigger. Will it? Looks like new crop be hitting the scales in four weeks. Beans look good but hard to call a bean yield even this close to the combine. I don’t need to sell anything till next year with cattle prices right now. So ole U NO nailed it. Got to move it and they know it. That doesn’t mean I have to sell it. I’m a seller right now in a buyers market on some old beans. But going to be a buyer in a buyers market shortly I’m afraid. First I got to torch the bin doors open so I can empty just to fill and weld them again. Will prices be better going forward idk. But I got a November target of $10.82. Which if triggers will pull me into beans very long. The joys of farming. What’s your plan? | |
