Town where I used to work would consistently raise the gas prices every week on Wednesday night. Most of the factories pay on Thursday. Prices would ease off first of the week until Thursday came around again.

I've noticed the same thing down here, but at a slower pace. Gas will jump 30-40 cents, and then slowly trickle down until it gets under $3.ga, then it jumps up again. Rinse and repeat.
