Too wet May and or June and then too dry July and August is normal weather here, and results in some pretty disappointing yields. Corn roots grow really slow if at all after silking, which makes the wet dry combination bad for the crop. Looking at the drought monitor there are some areas that were really wet earlier that are now dry like southern MO and AR. What are some other areas that had this wet dry combo this year? We are just wet this year, so wet that wheat harvest and soybean planting was never finished. |
