Every plane I've ever been on has loaded the plane backwards. The people up front are always first to get on.
If I was sitting in the front of the plane, I'd want to be the last person on the plane before the door gets shut. I always wonder how often they get hit in the head by backpacks and carryons.
There must be some reason why they do it that way, but it would certainly appear to me to be faster to load with a few rows in the rear, then call some rows in the middle, then a few close to door, then back to rear, middle, front, etc., keep cycling until done. Less waiting, more action time in aisles.
