CNY | If you like museums there's quite a few on your way in NY. Glen Curtiss museum in Hammondsport is pretty neat. Corning Museum of Glass near Binghamton. From Binghamton to Syracuse there's a Brockway Truck museum in Cortland NY. Ward O'Hara museum in Auburn is old timey farm stuff. As mentioned State Fair is in Syracuse until Labor Day. You will drive through all of the Fingerlakes wine country if you want to go to some wineries. As mentioned, Letchworth State Park, also you will be near Ithaca there is 3 State parks with waterfalls, Robert Treman, Taughanock Falls, Buttermilk Falls.
It is a lot of driving the path you are taking but I would encourage you to get off the interstates and take some 2 lane state roads. Much more to see.
