Subject: RE: Hog Damage on Crops

North central TX
Dad leases a couple hundred acres across the road from my house. The pigs have been in there tearing up everything this summer. Finally got a couple shot two weeks ago at daylight and ran them off for a bit. I've got a lone boar thats been coming up in my cattle yard and cleaning up around the bunk a few times a month. So far my wife is the only one who's spotted him while I'm at work. Says hes getting pretty tame and used to seeing her getting ready to go to work in the mornings. He's going to make that mistake with me home sooner or later. I guess the dogs don't even mess with him now she says. They were running him off.
I've got about 4-5 acres of really good Bermuda that they have rutted up in chunks over the past few years to the point I wont hardly drive my pickup across it. I need to disk and re-level it soon...They're smart and don't hit my place more than a short week at a time. If they did I'd get their schedule figured out.
