Another thing I just thought of. Our bylaws say that the agenda of the meeting is to be given to the directors 3 days before the meeting. The agenda was handed out as we walked into the meeting.
If I had known of the agenda before the meeting I would have aquired more information about the item. If I had known then what I know now, I would have raised hell and maybe made a difference.

Bylaws can supersede Robert's Rules of Order. 3 days is usually SOP, as someone mentioned, most places do more (like a week). As mentioned, become a reader/knowledgeable about RRO will go a long way. |
