Subject: Robert's rules?

SW OH
I'll try to keep this short and simple. I am a newly elected member to a board of 12. We follow Robert's rules. My first meeting where I was officially sworn in proceeded as follows. Roll call, minutes read and approved, old business, swearing new members into office, voting for officers, new business, adjourn.

Of the 12 members 4 seats were open with 1 incumbent and 3 newcomers. All 6 of the officers seats moved from click A to click B. This is very much a click A and click B group. The 3 newcomers gave click B a majority. There was an item in old business that a motion was made, seconded, voted on, and passed. If this had been in new business with the 3 new members voting, it would have failed.

Now the question. The item that was brought up in old business has not been recorded in the minutes of any meetings in the last 12 months. I believe this should have been in new business and handled after the vote and change of majority. I also belive this was intentionally done by click A as they knew it would fail after the change over. Is the vote on this item valid? How can it be fixed?
