Cemetery history can be kind of interesting, I have a cemetery on my place that the original homesteader donated the ground for the cemetery, the church was across the road . Had a relative of the homesteader contact me many years ago that asked if she could stop by and visit and see the farm as she was doing family research. Had a real nice visit and I had the deed at the house with his signature on it . She also had pictures of the man and his son in law ,the second owner , also found out that he and the rest of the family were buried at another cemetery about 2 miles away , and she had the story why . She informed me that the son in laws first wife died early and he wanted to marry her sister , the pastor wouldn’t do it so they went to the church 2 miles away and the pastor there did marry them . I found that story quite interesting!!!
